Pole Dance Beginner $500 + GST

**Pre-Certification agreement and payment required prior to workshop start date
Includes:
  • 10 hours of in studio instruction (over a 2 day period)
  • Safety and other issues specific to pole work: keeping your clients injury free
  • Complete breakdown of each move including proper technique and how to properly instruct each move
  • Modifications of each move, add‐ons, mini combos
  • How to keep more advanced students interested while not leaving less advanced ones behind
  • How to structure you classes (week to week as well as throughout the hour)
  • How to build routines and combos
  • Liability, Sign Up, Insurance Info and sample forms
  • Q & A

You will receive:

  • A manual with instructional breakdowns of each move
  • A certification upon successful completion (82% or higher) of both the written and practical exam ‐ you can do your exam immediately following your course or at a later date (within one year from date of course completion)

Prerequisites:

  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • Current Fitness Certification from a recognized organization (i.e. Can Fit Pro, Ontario Fitness Council…) can be Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Leader, Pilates, and Yoga…
  • Basic Pole Dance experience is an asset

Pole Dance Intermediate $500 + GST

Saturday, May 15, 2010    1:00 – 6:0 pm
Sunday, May 16 ,2010   11:30 am – 4:30 pm

You must attend both dates to qualify to do the written and practical exams.

  • Proper Warm Up and Cool Down (level specific)
  • Safety and other issues specific to pole work: keeping your clients injury free
  • Complete breakdown of each move including proper technique and how to properly instruct each move
  • Modifications of each move, add‐ons, mini combos
  • How to keep more advanced students interested while not leaving less advanced ones behind
  • How to structure you classes (week to week as well as throughout the hour)
  • Spotting and Safety issues related to Intermediate moves (i.e. basic inversion, helicopter)
  • Student progression issues related to safely and liability
  • How to build routines and combos
  • Q & A

You will receive:

  • Current Fitness Certification from a recognized organization (i.e. Can Fit Pro, Ontario Fitness Council…) can be Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Leader, Pilates, and Yoga…
  • Must have intermediate pole dance experience (can perform basic inversions with ease, Scorpio, Gemini, Caterpillar, Helicopter, Cross Ankle Release)
  • Must have attended and passed the written and practical exam for the Beginner Pole Dance Certification

Pole Dance Advanced $500 + GST

Includes:

  • 10 hours of in studio instruction (over a 2 day period)
  • Proper Warm Up and Cool Down (level specific)
  • Safety and other issues specific to pole work: keeping your clients injury free
  • Complete breakdown of each move including proper technique and how to properly instruct each move
  • Modifications of each move, add‐ons, mini combos
  • How to keep more advanced students interested while not leaving less advanced ones behind
  • How to structure you classes (week to week as well as throughout the hour)
  • Spotting and Safety issues related to advanced moves (i.e. shoulder mount inversions, Ayisha, Straight Edge…)
  • Student progression issues related to safely and liability
  • How to build routines and combos ‐ level specific
  • Q & A

You will receive:

  • A manual with instructional breakdowns of each move
  • A certification upon successful completion (82% or higher) of both the written and practical exam ‐ you can do your exam immediately following your course or at a later date (within one year from date of course completion)

Prerequisites:

  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • Current Fitness Certification from a recognized organization (i.e. Can Fit Pro, Ontario Fitness Council…) can be Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Leader, Pilates, and Yoga…
  • Must have advanced pole dance experience (can perform shoulder mount inversions with ease, Ayisha, Bow and Arrow from Cross Ankle Release, any form of handspring/cartwheel mount)

Pole Dance Instructor Internship: $2999.00 + GST

(can begin this anytime)

This program is suited for those with NO previous pole dance experience, but would like to be able to teach in the future.

Includes:

  • 20 hours of Private Pole Dance Instruction (within the year of course registration)
  • Unlimited (space provided) participation in Live Once pole dance classes for first 6 months(from date of registration) of level 1A ‐2A classes
  • Proper Warm Up and Cool Down
  • Safety and other issues specific to pole work: keeping your clients injury free
  • Complete breakdown of each move including proper technique and how to properly instruct each move
  • Modifications of each move, add‐ons, mini combos
  • How to keep more advanced students interested while not leaving less advanced ones behind
  • How to structure you classes (week to week as well as throughout the hour)
  • How to build routines and combos
  • 4 hours of assisting teaching (supervised and with review)
  • Liability, Sign Up, Insurance
  • Q & A

You will receive:

  • A manual with instructional breakdowns of each move
  • A Beginner Pole Dance certification upon successful completion (82% or higher) of both the written and practical exam ‐ you can do your exam immediately following your course or at a later date (within six months from date of internship completion)

Prerequisites:

  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • Current Fitness Certification from a recognized organization (i.e. Can Fit Pro, Ontario Fitness Council…) can be Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Leader, Pilates, and Yoga…
  • An approved pole for practice (at home or in your studio)
  • 18+, healthy with reasonable fitness level

Pole Fit Certification $350 + gst

Sunday, February 21st, 2010  11:30 – 4:30 pm

This class is a signature Live Once Inc. Class specifically designed to get your students in great shape using the pole as a tool for fitness without any dance component. Great for those with no pole dance experience, but wanting to teach a unique, challenging and highly effective class. It’s a great bonus for studios offering pole dance as it will help your pole dance students increase their strength and endurance for advanced moves while allowing those only interested in fitness to participate and receive the same fitness benefits.

Includes:

  • 5 hours of in studio instruction
  • Proper Warm Up and Cool Down using various equipment
  • Safety and other issues specific to Pole Fit
  • Complete breakdown of each exercise including proper technique and how to properly instruct each move plus prewritten lesson plans to help you get started
  • Explanation of specifically which muscle groups are being targeted with each exercise
  • Modifications of each exercise with proper level progressions
  • How to keep the class flowing while catering to all levels of fitness
  • How to structure you classes properly to maintain appropriate intensity
  • Various class structure options
  • Q & A

You will receive:

  • A manual with instructional breakdowns of each move along with the proper modifications and options for different fitness levels
  • A certification upon successful completion (82% or higher) of both the written and practical exam ‐ you can do your exam immediately following your course or at a later date (within one year from date of course completion)

Prerequisites:

  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • Current Fitness Certification from a recognized organization (i.e. Can Fit Pro, Ontario Fitness Council…) can be Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Leader, Pilates, and Yoga…

Optional Products:

Choreography (full 8 count choreography to go along with specific levels of instruction)
Includes:
DVD copy of routine along with written notes to co‐correspond.

IMPORTANT! READ! **Limitations:

*The Live Once trademark and word mark can only be used (within the limitations of the agreement) if you have successfully completed and passed both the written and practical exam, receiving your certification.

*You can only promote classes using Live Once trademark and word mark pertaining to specific level of certification attained

*You cannot teach Live Once Inc. material or programs within a 50 km radius of any Live Once Inc. studio unless approved by Live Once Inc. Directors.

*Cannot re‐teach course: This includes sharing instructional manuals, materials, DVD’s or any other items that are/were part of the certification program.

**Other Specifics:

* Upon certification, we will post your name/studio name on our website as certified with a short bio on yourself/studio along with a link to your site.

* payment is required in full at time of registration.

*If you do not pass your exam/s the first time, you have one year from completion of your program to rewrite ‐ Rewrite cost $100. If a year lapses, you will have to redo the course to do the exam. If more than one year six months lapses from time of first course date, you must re‐do the course to re‐write your certification exams.
