Elisabeth

lisaMy name is Elisabeth Magalhaes, Owner and Head Instructor at Live Once.  My background is varied and my life experiences have all come together for me with the opening of my studio.  I am a very busy and happy wife and mother of three wonderful children; Kyle 19, Renee 13 and Nico 5.  I am a certfied Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor with a dance background in Ballet, Jazz and Modern Dance.   I have competed in various fitness competitions, with the most recent being the 2009 Fitness Star competion where I took first place in level 2 Athletic Female Fitness Model and Female Muscular as well as winning the best 6-pack female category.   I have been Pole Dancing for over 10 years and came to fall in love with the strength, grace and athleticism of it. 

 For me, Pole Dance has (and continues to be) the most fun, intense, challenging and effective ways that I have found to get and stay in shape.  No matter how good you get, you can always be better, try harder things, perfect old moves.  Pole Dance encompasses everything I love about being a woman: Strength, Sensuality, Beauty and Intensity.

With my background in group fitness, personal training and dance, I have developed a safe, fun and progressive program that is welcoming to the everyday woman (like me!). My goal is to provide a place for my students to come and have fun, get fit, feel sexy and put a spring in their step and a sway in their walk.

I look forward to meeting you in one of the many classes that I offer at the studio.  You will be happy you came.

Andrea

andreaAndrea is a Certified Cycle Reebok Instructor with emergency first aid & CPR who has had a passion for indoor cycling since she was first introduced to it 13 years ago! “My love for indoor cycling, passion for people, and quest to find the perfect life, work, family balance inspired me to begin teaching 4 years ago.”

Andrea always seeks to give a challenging workout, helping build endurance, strength, and stamina.  Her rides
captivate from the beginning to the end.  She is a happily married mother of two; daughter Aaliyah 10, and son Adrian 2.

Andrea remains dedicated to inspire others to stay hard-hitting while in her class, always returning to the next class stronger.

Amanda

Amandacrop

Amanda has been involved in the fitness industry for over ten years. Working for major fitness corporations to sports nutrition corporations, she had developed a strong passion for fitness, athletics and an overall healthy lifestyle.

 Part of her history in athletics includes playing Rugby for 7 years and touring internationally; she has also kick boxed for 5 yrs and had completed her level 1 certification through All Canadian Kickboxing Academy.

 Amanda has taken on other courses such as Personal training and CPR/First Aid through CanFit Pro, completed her Schwinn cycling certification and has completed a course in combat submission wrestling with world renowned Eric Paulson.

 She is very excited to share her enthusiasm about Live Once with older and new members “I have absolutely fallen in love with this studio, just when you think you are strong the instructors challenge you in ways you couldn’t imagine”. “I am so proud of my accomplishments over the past two years being a student at the studio and now I can’t wait to help members the way the instructors at Live Once have helped me”.

Christine

Christine is a mother of one and has worked in the health care industry for close to 10 years as an MRI Technologist.  She is passionate about health and fitness and looks forward to helping others achieve their fitness goals while having fun at the studio. Pole Dance and Pole Fit are excellent ways to achieve results, as these classes have helped Christine see amazing changes in her own physical health and body composition. Christine teaches Beginner Pole Fit and Pole Fit classes at Live Once.

Christine is a Can Fit Pro Certified Fitness Instructor and has received her Pole Fit Certification through Live Once Inc. She also has her CPR certification through St. John’s Ambulance.

Holly

holly

Holly comes from a background of passion for sports and the outdoors.  She spent seven years working with and training horses, instructing lessons, and competing in western equestrian events throughout Canada and the U.S. at a national level.  She was also involved in several years of competitive rugby, baseball, and one year of triathlon.

Holly recently completed her Can Fit Pro Personal Trainer Certification to add to her skills in becoming part of the Live Once team! She has been a student at Live Once for almost 3 years and was first drawn to the studio by pole dance.   

“I very quickly understood the strength, style and confidence that the studio offered. What Live Once promotes is an inspiration in itself. This unique form of fitness intrigued me, which led me to participate in personal training sessions with Elisabeth and then continue on with the pole fitness and TNA classes.  All of these things significantly increased my strength and confidence and brought me to where I am now in fitness and in dancing.  Every workout is as intense as the last, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned here with new students to come!”

 Kate

Kate  is a certified fitness instructor who has been teaching yoga, boxing, step, bootcamp, spinning  and muscle conditioning classes since 1999.  Her teaching philosophy is to help you discover your physical and mental strength, have fun and work hard.  Kate is happily married and the mother of 2 beautiful girls – Saaliha who is 2 years old and Laila who is almost 3 months old.

Candace

Candace has been involved in the fitness world since the time she could walk.  She stared out in competitive dance at the age of 5 performing in Jazz, Tap and Baton.

 Few years later she then decided to take her skills to another level training in mixed martial arts that included, Muay Thai Boxing, Pilipino stick fighting, and JKD.

 Candace has certifications for CPR, Fitness Instructor, Woman’s Assault prevention, Personal Training and now after being a student of Live Once for 3 years has attained a Level 1 certification for pole dance.

 Candace enjoys working with people by motivating them to achieve their fitness goals and personal levels of excellence.  She is very excited to be a member of the Live Once Team
